The opportunity: your next adventure awaits

EY's Strategy and Transactions (SaT) practice offers strategic corporate clients and private equity clients professional transaction advice and services, from the strategic analysis phase of the transaction lifecycle, through execution, to transaction integration.

We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right. Within SaT, Minvest teams advise our clients on issues concerning their mining investments, Mineral Resource and Reserves estimations, technical reviews, Mineral Asset Valuations, financing, and strategic options within the minerals, oil, and gas industries.

The Minvest team comprises experienced technical professionals including environmental scientists, petroleum engineers, geologists, mining engineers, and chemical engineers.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for mining professionals with varying levels of experience based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

  • Mineral asset valuation – Techno Economic Assessment
  • Technical Due Diligence and Reviews
  • Exposure to International Public Reporting Codes including SAMREC, NI43-, JORC, SK, and others
  • Cross-discipline collaboration in a mining environment and understanding of the mining value chain
  • Assisting a Competent Person in Mineral Resources and Reserves estimation
  • Performance/business improvement experience in the mining industry is advantageous
