About The Role
As the Strategy & Planning Lead in the SSA Delivery team at Uber, you will be at the forefront of supporting our SSA Delivery leadership team by providing strategic leadership, coordinating governance, supporting large-scale cross-functional programs, fostering business innovation, and solving complex problems to drive long-term success.
This role requires a strong strategic vision, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead high-impact programs that will shape the future of Uber Eats.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Leadership: Serve as a strategic advisor to the SSA Delivery leadership team on high-priority initiatives, taking ownership of complex problems, influencing stakeholders, and driving strategic decisions at the organizational level.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Use advanced structured problem-solving techniques to address novel and ambiguous challenges, creating innovative solutions without predefined templates.
- Zero to One Initiatives: Lead strategic initiatives from inception to implementation, supporting the building of new ideas and guiding them to success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local, regional, and global teams (Operations, Product, Legal, Policy, Finance, Tax, etc.) to design and execute programs that achieve key business outcomes.
- Program Ownership: Lead and manage strategic programs and projects, ensuring follow-up and accountability from start to finish.
- Synthesis and Recommendations: Integrate inputs like data analysis, policy proposals, legal considerations, and product briefs to develop strategic recommendations and facilitate alignment.
- Stakeholder Influence and Management: Build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing expectations effectively.
- Performance Optimization: Use data analytics, metrics, and dashboards to understand performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct thorough research on macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and competitors to provide strategic insights based on data.
What You Will Need
- 4+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or consultancy, with a proven record of leading large-scale initiatives.
- Advanced problem-solving skills for tackling complex issues in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior leaders and influence decision-making.
- Strong business and financial acumen with analytical skills for data-driven problem solving.
- Deep understanding of the online food delivery industry and Uber’s business strategy.
- Project management skills with attention to detail and structured approach.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong data analytics skills, including proficiency in SQL.
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in online food delivery, logistics, Q-commerce, or application software industries.
