Amazon South Africa's Retail division seeks a Strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead inventory planning and end-to-end operations, aligning strategies to maximize customer experience, sales, and margins.

The role requires strong data extraction and analytical abilities, ability to influence cross-functional teams, and the capacity to manage competing priorities while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience in Excel or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver operational improvement opportunities around buying and demand planning.
• Monitor and identify opportunities to improve key supply chain metrics such as Out of Stock rate, Overstock Rate, Total Inbound Lead Time, Delivery Speed, and Confirmation/Fill Rates.
• Share supply chain insights and contribute to business reviews for Senior Leadership (verbal and written).
• Identify opportunities to optimize our supply chain cost structure and profitability through vendor engagement, project management, and collaboration with partner teams on system improvements.
