Job summary

Time Personnel is seeking a detail‑driven Procurement Officer in Gauteng to manage supplier relationships for signage materials and components. You will research reliable suppliers, negotiate terms, track inventory, and collaborate with design and production teams to meet technical requirements.

Travel may be required, and you will assist Project Managers with procurement strategies to optimize cost-efficiency while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Matric with two years procurement experience.
• Experience buying within manufacturing or print/signage industries.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with procurement software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Technically minded with industry passion.
• Highly organized and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify reliable signage material suppliers.
• Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with vendors.
• Collaborate with design/production teams on technical requirements.
• Track inventory levels and maintain procurement records.
• Develop procurement strategies to optimize cost and quality.
• Build supplier relationships and negotiate best pricing.
• Process requisitions and update management on order status.
• Update inventory and ensure stock levels.
• Arrange transport and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
• Coordinate with inventory team and management as required.
• Assess stock quality and address discrepancies with suppliers.
• Travel as needed.
• Assist Project Managers with technical advice.
• Communicate stock delays to factory management.
• Source new suppliers.
• Attend ADHOC projects as required by management.
