STRATEGIC PURCHASER: PCB ASSEMBLIES (6 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

This role manages supplier relationships, leads contract and SLA negotiations, supports technical alignment with engineering, and ensures continuity of supply in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

The position is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for PCB assemblies to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality-compliant procurement.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring that the Strategic and Operational Purchasing Function conforms to relevant processes and procedures within the Business Process in the Global Management System (GMS).
  2. Supporting and complementing the Supply Chain function within the SGD Organisation.
  3. Supporting strategic and operational improvement initiatives.
  4. Assessing and evaluating purchasing requirements for scheduling, volumes, delivery planning, and supplier selection.
  5. Evaluating proposals and selecting sourcing channels based on quality, specifications, and TCO.
  6. Placing purchase orders, confirming orders, and monitoring deliveries.
  7. Overseeing shipping and receiving of materials.
  8. Managing supplier, financial, warehousing, production, and customer queries.
  9. Resolving discrepancies in goods, quantities, and documentation.
  10. Providing timely reports and information to stakeholders.
  11. Setting and striving to meet performance goals.
  12. Ensuring adherence to procurement processes within GMS/BMS.
  13. Participating in product development and projects to consider procurement and supplier aspects.
  14. Acting as the prime commercial contact with suppliers within assigned areas.

Qualifications and skills include:

  • Procurement experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of procurement strategies, risk management, compliance, and supplier landscape.
  • Experience with RFP/RFQ, negotiation, contracts, and ERP systems.
  • Minimum 10 years in procurement environment.
  • Degree in procurement or related field; CIPSS qualification preferred.
  • Skills in analysis, negotiation, technical acumen, strategic thinking, communication, integrity.
