• Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Communications, Law, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, corporate communications, or similar role.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Strong understanding of legislative processes and policy environments in South Africa.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to articulate complex issues persuasively.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
• Experience in media relations and crisis management.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive public affairs and communication strategies to support organizational goals.
• Manage relationships with key government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and community stakeholders.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, providing analysis and recommendations to leadership.
• Craft and disseminate advocacy messages, position papers, and public statements.
• Lead media relations efforts, responding to inquiries and seeking opportunities for positive coverage.
• Organize and facilitate stakeholder engagement events, forums, and public consultations.
• Oversee the development of communication materials, including reports and digital content.
