Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Purchasing leader in South Africa to oversee the Purchasing Teams in Gauteng. The role focuses on driving cost-efficient supply chain operations, maintaining supplier data, and achieving profitability objectives across the group.

You will develop regular KPIs, optimize inbound freight, and lead process improvements while building strong supplier relationships and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong ERP and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Purchasing experience within an international company at senior management level.
• Thorough knowledge of supply chain processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of ERP systems.
• Computer literate using Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the ZAF Purchasing Teams effectively.
• Drive development of regular reporting including Key Performance Metrics for supply chain management.
• Drive the team to achieve group and personal objectives related to profit, service, and growth.
• Maintain supplier details and product price information on the system.
• Manage inbound freight costs to optimize supply chain costs.
