Job summary

International Facilities Services is seeking an experienced Senior Negotiator to lead complex commercial negotiations and governance across strategic sourcing initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa. You will build structured negotiation playbooks, drive value-based terms, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across finance, legal, operations and suppliers.

The role requires 5–8 years in strategic procurement, advanced negotiation training, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
• Advanced negotiation training; CIPS/MCIPS advantageous.
• 5–8 years of experience in strategic procurement/commercial roles with leading complex negotiations and high-value supplier deals.
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel to sites across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation planning for strategic, high-value, high-risk and cross-market deals.
• Define objectives, BATNA, walk-away positions, concession plans and approval boundaries.
• Build fact bases using spend, market, supplier economics, should-cost and total-cost-of-ownership analysis.
• Coordinate negotiation teams and align commercial, operational, legal, finance and technical positions.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, indexation, service levels, rebates and risk allocation.
• Maintain a live ledger and quantify value captured against baseline.
• Develop strategies for small, medium and large sourcing events.
• Coach category and sourcing teams in negotiation prep, execution and post-deal learning.
• Support supplier disputes and renegotiation where material value is at risk.
• Conduct post-negotiation reviews and codify learning into playbooks and benchmarks.
