Job summary

TFG Limited is seeking a Planner III to mentor the Merchandise Planning Team, project future sales across key categories, and optimize planning processes. You will manage range assortments, replenishment, and distribution strategies to drive efficiency and profitability.

With a minimum of five years in planning, you will combine strong numeracy with analytical thinking to collaborate with buyers, marketing, VM and operations.

Qualifications

• Completed National Diploma or Degree in Business Management/BCom with majors in Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Maths.
• Min 5 years proven experience as a Planner.
• Sound understanding of the retail cycle and planning process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Numerical and analytical approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Drive product efficiencies and key measures – sales, markdown, inventory, sales margin.
• Develop category strategic, tactical, and operational plans to achieve targets.
• Manage range assortment at store level in conjunction with the buyer.
• Manage OTB allowance both in-season and forward budgets.
• Attend all appointments relating to product launches and selections.
• Analyze and review previous week sales with the buying team and propose actions.
• Prepare and present performance in trade meetings.
• Report on performance, initiatives and plans to management.
• Collaborate across buying, planning, marketing, VM and operations functions.
• Influence change to achieve company goals/objectives.
• Drive allocation and grading strategy with allocator.
• Delivery management and markdown proposal.
• Regular store visits as a team.
