Job summary

Swiss Re in Cape Town is seeking a six-month role to partner with Life & Health Client Managers across Southern Africa. You will deliver technical support with a strong costing focus, support senior colleagues, and drive key internal projects that contribute to growth and client outcomes.

You'll work on go-to-market strategies, pricing, data analytics, and quotes, while building strategic client relationships and coordinating cross-functional activities to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Nearly or qualified actuary with 5–8 years' experience across different functions in the life and health insurance industry.
• Actuarial pricing and product development skills and experience in applying the Actuarial control cycle.
• Interest in Customer Engagement and Servicing.
• Experience in dealing with complex deals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to L&H Client Managers across Southern Africa and drive costing responsibilities.
• Advise clients on Swiss Re products and differentiating solutions to meet their growth objectives.
• Build strategic client relationships and foster trust in all engagements.
• Engage and collate data from clients, perform data analytics and co-present results of annual new business volume surveys.
• Own the quote process for assigned opportunities using technical expertise to support costing, review, and approvals.
• Monitor in-force portfolio performance by tracking key metrics and supporting treaty actions as needed.
• Coordinate treaty onboarding, payment tracking, data submissions and audit logistics with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to product innovation, process improvements, knowledge sharing and thought leadership.
• Provide administrative and project management support to ensure timely execution of account activities.
