Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee supply chain and transportation operations in South Africa. You will lead warehousing, delivery networks, and vendor contracts to ensure timely and compliant service.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in Logistics Management or supply chain operations.
Proven track record in optimizing transportation routes and managing warehouse operations.
Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
Manage and motivate a team of logistics coordinators, drivers, and warehouse staff.
Negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers to ensure competitive rates and reliable service.
