Job summary

Absa Group seeks a marketing communications specialist to support internal group communications and strategic messaging. You will craft engaging content, coordinate plans with the GMCA Group Communications strategy, and align initiatives with business targets to improve understanding and engagement.

You’ll develop plans, measure impact, and collaborate across teams, leveraging tools like Absa Engage and internal channels to maximise reach and coherence of messaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diplomas, or B Tech (NQF7) in Marketing or Communications.
• 3–5 years’ experience in communications, with client service and campaign execution.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in marketing communications.
• Strong writing capabilities across formats; comfortable with AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement the communications strategy across programmes and branding.
• Develop and execute communications plans aligned with objectives.
• Support executive positioning to internal and external audiences.
• Leverage internal platforms to maximise initiative visibility and engagement.
• Monitor and improve measurement aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure cohesive communications campaigns.
