Job summary

Network Contracting is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own the full financial function and provide strategic financial insight from its Midrand base. You will oversee reporting, budgeting, controls and compliance while leading a skilled finance team.

The role requires a BCom with articles and 5+ years in senior financial management, including ERP systems and SARS compliance. Expect a challenging, impactful position with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

BCom Accounting/Finance qualification with completed articles.
Minimum 5 years' experience managing a full financial function.
5+ years' experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
Proven experience managing and developing finance teams.
Experience with SAP, Oracle or NetSuite; Advanced Microsoft Excel; financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, GL and bank reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy of financial records, inventory, debtors, creditors and cashbook.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Manage month-end and year-end financial deliverables.
Review and approve month-end journals and GL reconciliations.
Provide internal and external financial reports on time.
Implement and monitor effective financial controls.
Ensure statutory compliance and regulatory returns.
Manage audits and SARS queries; develop the finance team.
Provide financial analysis to support business decisions.
