Job summary

Energy Drive is seeking an Estimation Engineer to translate customer specifications into detailed cost estimates for complex eHouse systems and variable speed drive solutions, including MV/LV drives, switchgear, HVAC, and fire suppression. You will support pre-bid activities, collaborate with sales, project management, and procurement, and deliver competitive commercial proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in cost estimation, bid engineering, or proposal preparation within EPC/industrial environments.
• Experience reviewing RFIs/Tenders and compiling budgets.
• Experience with GA drawings, SLDs, and P&IDs is preferred.
• Eligible to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender documents, RFIs and RFQs to extract technical scope and installation boundaries.
• Develop system architecture and sizing for heavy industrial applications.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed budgets for LV/MV drives, switchgear, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
• Collaborate with the eHouse design office to align estimations with GA drawings.
• Draft technical proposals and commercial quotes with clear scope, exclusions, and milestones.
• Manage RFQ processes and supplier quotes to ensure accurate budgets.
