Job summary

Gauteng Treasury in Johannesburg invites applications for the post of Director: Risk and Compliance Audit Services. The role leads risk and compliance audits across Gauteng provincial departments and entities, building the three-year risk-based audit plans and guiding their execution.

The ideal candidate holds a NQF level 7 qualification in Internal Auditing/Accounting or a BTech in Accounting and Auditing, with a professional designation such as CIA/CA being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) in Internal Auditing / Accounting or Four-Year B-Tech Degree with majors in Accounting and Auditing.
• Postgraduate qualification and CIA/CA designation would be advantageous.
• 5 years of experience at middle/senior managerial level in Internal audit.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Risk and Compliance audit for GPG Departments and Trading Entities.
• Develop and implement the Department’s three-year risk-based audit plans (minimum of 3 Departments).
• Direct and lead the implementation of the approved Departmental three-year risk-based audit plans. Manage stakeholders and reporting; ensure audits follow GAS methodology and IIA Standards.
