Job summary

Liquid Thought in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead full project lifecycles, from strategic planning to execution and closure. You will drive governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment to deliver on business objectives.

You will mentor teams, standardize processes, and embed lessons learned while advancing your own professional growth through certifications and industry knowledge. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Strong Agile & hybrid delivery (sprints + fixed scope).
• Planning & governance: roadmaps, change control, RACI, KPIs/OKRs
• Financials: budgets, margin, burn, variance
• Stakeholder Management: client-facing, steercos, escalation handling
• Tech fluency: APIs, integrations, environments
• Tooling: Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro/Lucid, MS Project
• Nice to have: PMP/PRINCE2, PSM/PSPO, PMI-ACP
• Domain: fintech, retail/e-commerce, payments, health/loyalty/startups UAT; contracts/MSA/SOW experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from scoping to closure.
• Define deliverables, milestones, and timelines aligned with strategy.
• Manage interdependencies across multiple workstreams and teams.
• Produce executive dashboards and project documentation for leadership.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members when required.
• Act as primary liaison with executives, clients, and cross-functional leaders.
• Monitor risks, issues and changes; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure projects meet SLA, budget, and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardize templates and governance.
• Champion best practices and value creation in project delivery.
