Ultra Pharmaceutical And Medical Placements seeks a Costing Manager to lead the costing function across manufacturing and supply chain units in Johannesburg. You will establish, maintain, and enhance standard costing systems, provide variance analysis, and support strategic decision-making with reliable costing data.

Key duties include cost maintenance, CAPEX evaluation support, stock counts, and cross-functional collaboration to drive financial performance.

Formación

• Chartered Accountant or CIMA qualification is essential.
• Bachelors degree in accounting, cost & management accounting or finance.
• Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business Management, or related field (advantage).
• CPD in cost accounting, ERP systems and manufacturing finance recommended.
• Minimum 5 years experience in cost accounting within manufacturing or supply chain.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and maintain standard costing systems for materials, labour, and overheads.
• Ensure BOMs exist for every manufactured product and update standard costs in ERP.
• Monitor cost variances and provide root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Prepare costing packs for new products with projected costs and margins.
• Collaborate with product development and operations for accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare annual costing budgets and revise standard costs for approval.
• Oversee stock counts and ensure valuation accuracy in financial statements.
• Establish internal controls for costing activities and conduct cost data audits.
• Provide costing advice to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams.
• Develop rolling cost forecasts with Finance and Operations.
