Role Overview

Leads implementation of a business development strategy to support growth and enhance the organization's presence and reputation within the general insurance industry. Manages key internal and external relationships across the broker intermediary and customer market to drive the organization's business plan targets.

Key Result Areas
  1. Leadership and Direction: Communicate the function's strategy and its relation to the organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate teams to achieve business goals.
  2. Business Development: Implement and formulate strategies, evaluate transactions, and ensure financial health through alliances, collaborations, mergers, acquisitions, and licensing initiatives.
  3. Business Planning: Develop annual business plans, budgets, and KPIs; ensure alignment and integration within the organization.
  4. Performance Management: Manage departmental performance, set objectives, and take corrective actions as needed.
  5. Operational Compliance: Ensure activities comply with external regulations and internal policies to minimize risks.
  6. Budgeting: Manage departmental budgets, including development and delivery.
