Job summary

3L Consulting (Pty) Ltd in Boksburg seeks a Buyer / Procurement Administrator to support purchasing activities, source suppliers and manage supplier relationships. You will place and track orders, assist with inventory, and help with budget monitoring and tender-related documentation.

The role requires 3–5 years of procurement experience, strong negotiation and admin skills, and a valid SA driver’s licence. Permanent position with monthly pay package.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in buying, purchasing, procurement or similar role.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, mining equipment or industrial environment advantageous.
• Strong sourcing, supplier management and negotiation experience.
• Experience with inventory or stock-related administration.
• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Exposure to an ERP, purchasing or procurement system (Sage, Pastel, Syspro, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
• PayCity and eNatis experience advantageous but not essential.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Willing and able to drive a Company vehicle when required.

Responsibilities

• Source suitable suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Manage day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery requirements with suppliers.
• Build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Place, monitor and follow up on purchase orders.
• Assist with inventory and stock management to ensure materials are available.
• Maintain accurate procurement, purchasing and supplier documentation.
• Prepare and maintain purchase and procurement reports.
• Assist with budget monitoring and ensure purchases stay within approved budgets.
• Support tender-related administration and documentation.
