Job summary

Stellenbosch University is seeking a Senior Strategic BI and Business Analyst (Post Level 7) for the ISRA Division on Stellenbosch Campus. The role bridges business needs and the data engineering team to deliver reliable BI solutions and reporting models.

The incumbent will develop and maintain the BI platform, perform data analysis, translate requirements, and ensure data quality through testing, trainings, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the University's BI platform and reporting models with ICT and Engineering teams.
• Analyse source data, document requirements and translate business needs into BI solutions.
• Test developments and validate data accuracy before deployment; act as quality bridge between engineering and business.
• Create training materials and data glossaries for self-service and change communication.
• Contribute to BI platform developments and knowledge base with best practices and analytics tooling.
