Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Stores Team Leader for a manufacturing company in KwaZulu-Natal. The role requires strong stock management and people leadership skills, along with a relevant post-matric qualification and at least three years’ stores experience. Additional skills required include excellent administration and computer skills, as well as a valid driver’s license. The individual will manage staff and ensure the effective operation of the stores department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a stores environment.
  • Finished goods stock control experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle – essential.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate stock levels and effective dispatch processes.
  • Adhere to safety, housekeeping, food safety and quality requirements.
  • Supervise and schedule staff, monitor timekeeping and attendance.
  • Manage staff performance and conduct training and development.

Duties
  • Stock Management:
    • Ensure accurate stock levels and effective dispatch processes.
  • Safety and Housekeeping:
    • Adhering to safety, housekeeping, food safety and quality requirements in the stores department
  • People Management:
    • Supervise and schedule staff
    • Monitor timekeeping and attendance
    • Managing staff performance
    • Training and development of staff
Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant post-matric qualification (a Degree will be an advantage)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a stores environment
  • Team management experience
  • Finished goods stock control experience
  • Strong administration skills
  • Excellent computer skills
