We are seeking a Stores Person (Warehouse Worker) at our Masterparts Pietermaritzburg branch, located on Greyling Street, Pietermaritzburg.

The position involves working from Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays.

Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary, Provident Fund, Optional Medical Aid (Discovery Health / Moto Healthcare), and an annual discretionary performance bonus.

Duties include:

  1. Offloading stock from containers, trucks, and vans
  2. Checking goods received
  3. Moving bulk inventory and packing stock away
  4. Picking of stock
  5. Checking picked and packed stock
  6. Packing freight parcels
  7. General housekeeping of the warehouse (cleaning and tidying)
  8. Doing periodic stock counts
  9. Ensuring security of the warehouse
  10. Ad hoc duties as required

We require candidates to be very accurate with stock numbers and capable of performing physically demanding work, especially lifting and carrying heavy items and standing or walking for long hours.

Prior knowledge and experience in the automotive aftermarket are advantageous.

Product knowledge of automotive aftermarket spares is advantageous.

Experience in a medium to large warehouse is advantageous.

General mechanical/technical knowledge is advantageous.

Computer literacy is advantageous.

A valid forklift license is advantageous.

Certifications in Health and Safety, First Aid, and Firefighting are advantageous.
