Phoenix. Opportunity exists for a highly organized and experienced Stores Controller to join a dynamic team. If you’re passionate about efficient stock management, leading a team, and keeping operations running smoothly, we want to hear from you! Must have at least 5 years relevant experience, with at least 2-3 years being in a supervisory / leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipts, storage, and issuance of engineering materials and parts
• Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure materials are available when required
• Supervise, train, and develop junior store staff
• Ensure accurate inventory records and investigate any discrepancies
• Liaise with suppliers and follow up on outstanding orders
• Maintain a clean and organized engineering stores area

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) is essential
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering is an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a storeman role, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or senior capacity
• Solid understanding of engineering materials (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, stock usage tracking, and replenishment
• Proven leadership experience managing store teams and delegating tasks
• Familiarity with FIFO, stock safety levels, and storage best practices
• Problem-solving ability to resolve stock discrepancies and shortages
• Hands-on experience with Syspro or similar ERP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
• Physically fit - ability to lift heavy items and work in physically demanding environments
• Excellent communication, time management, and adaptability skills
