Job description

A vacancy exists for a pharmacy stores assistant at Life Robinson Hospital, reporting to Budirirai Kapfumvuti, Pharmacy Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the picking, controlling, and effective distribution of stock in the pharmacy. They will also handle ordering, receiving, and unpacking stock from suppliers.

Critical Outputs
  • Accurate and timely packing of stock orders for hospital departments.
  • Accurate transfer of stock within the hospital.
  • Assist with stock ordering according to formulary and preferred supplier requirements.
  • Daily shelving and housekeeping within the pharmacy store.
  • Follow the stock credit process correctly.
  • Participate in cycle counts and investigate variances monthly.
  • Support stock write-off reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain good relationships with staff.
  • Communicate product changes and out-of-stock situations effectively.
  • Overtime as required by the business.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Previous stores assistant experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to work within a team and meet goals.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
