About The Role

Master of Kitting Needed!

Are you detail-driven and thrive on keeping things organized and production-ready? We're looking for a Stores Assistant (Kitting). In this crucial role, support engineering and manufacturing operations by accurately compiling, preparing, and issuing kits containing the correct aviation parts, tools, and consumables required for specific projects or job orders.

You'll be turning parts into perfectly packaged kits that keep the workflow moving.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Interpret job cards, to identify the correct components required for kits.
  • Accurately compile kits with all required parts, tools, and materials, ensuring no omissions or substitutions unless approved.
  • Verify the part numbers, quantities, and condition (e.g., expiry dates, certification) of each item before including it in the kit.
  • Clearly label and package each kit for traceability and ease of use by technicians and engineers.
  • Ensure kits are ready ahead of scheduled build, maintenance to prevent project delays.
  • Maintain records of all items kitted, including serial/batch numbers, and associated documentation.
  • Support receiving, issuing, and stock control functions as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitting area to prevent cross-contamination or mix-ups.
  • Participate in inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure kitting stock accuracy.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 3 years experience in a stores or warehouse environment (aviation or technical manufacturing preferred)
