Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and store incoming stock in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory control, including regular stock counts and stock rotation.
- Replenish shelves and ensure merchandise is neatly displayed according to store guidelines.
- Support merchandising activities, including arranging promotional displays, price labeling, and ensuring planogram compliance.
- Maintain store cleanliness, tidiness, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Assist customers with inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Report damaged, missing, or expired stock to the Store Manager.
- Support stock transfers, dispatch, and receiving processes.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have participated on the YES Programme before.
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, warehousing, or stock management (advantageous).
- Basic knowledge of merchandising principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit to handle lifting and movement of stock.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
