Stores Assistant is part of the Cpt Raw Materials Stores / Receiving team. The Raw Materials Stores / Receiving team has a dual function. The first is to manage the Raw Materials Stores which includes the storage maintenance and supply of raw material to the Production team receiving finished goods from production and movement of finished goods to warehouse. The second is to receive all incoming deliveries and to manage the goods returned cage. This also includes arranging collections picking / receiving stock transfers performing daily stock counts investigating variances & nonconformances and ensuring the system records accurately match the physical stock.
DUTIES
Receiving
- Responsible For Receipt Of All Goods Into And Movement Of All Stock Into And Out Of The Raw Material Stores.
- Receiving Orders / Transfers Into Goods Received Holding Area.
- Printing And Adding Labels (Including Lot Numbers And Expiry Dates) To Certain Products And Comparing To Suppliers Packing List.
- Using PutAway List Delivering Finished Goods To The Correct Bin Locations In The Warehouse With The Assistance Of The Warehouse Team.
- Receiving Returned Goods Recording The Details Into The Goods Returned Register Notifying Stock Controller / Customer Services Storage Of Goods In Returned Cage.
- Responsible For The Accuracy Of The Stock In The Returned Cage And Goods In The Holding Area.
- Raise Ncas Where Goods Received Do Not Meet Product Specifications. Must Be Noted On The Goods Received Noted / Delivery Note
- Ensure Product / Raw Material Quality And Safety Is Maintained At All Times In Accordance With The Product Safety Data Sheet.
Production
- Issue Raw Material To Production On A Daily Basis According To Raw Material Requests And Works Orders
- Receive Finished Goods From Production With A Putaway List And Move To Warehouse.
General
- Responsible For Ensuring Stores Is Clean And Tidy
- Manage Stock Of Pallets Nationally
- Loading And Off Loading Of Containers And Trucks
- Raw Material Stock Counts
- Complete Daily Checklists Of Machinery
- Preparation Of Ncas And Variance Analysis For Any Stores Related NonConformances.
Driving Duties (Backup)
- Perform Daily Deliveries / Collections
- Complete Daily Vehicle Checklists
- Prepares Daily Trip Sheet
- Record Mileage
- Delivers Goods Customer Completes And Signs Trip Sheet (Time Of Delivery)
- Ensures That Quality Management Procedures For Safe Handling And Transport Are Adhered To All At Times.
- Ensure That Product Quality And Safety Is Maintained Throughout The Stores Process;
- Documentation Of Ncas And Ars Where Relevant;
- Best Practices Improve Processes And Policies In Support Of Organizational Goals.
- Formulate And Implement Departmental Policies And Procedures To Maximize Output. Monitor Adherence To Procedures.
Training (Submit To The Hr Manager)
- Conduct / Perform Skills Assessment.
- Training And Skills Plans
- Record All Training
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12
- In house
- Valid Forklift / Stacker License and experience in driving
- Preference for Valid South African Drivers License
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must take pride in appearance of warehouse vehicles and machinery and has good attention to detail
