An exciting opportunity is available for a hands-on, proactive Storeman / Stock Controller to join a dynamic, workshop-driven environment.

This is a vital role where you'll be the backbone of day-to-day warehouse operations—keeping everything flowing smoothly, from receiving and dispatching stock to supporting workshop teams with the right parts at the right time.

If you're highly organized and practical, and enjoy working in a structured but fast-moving setting—especially within packaging, machinery, or manufacturing—this role is for you.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Prior experience in warehouse, inventory, or stock control roles.
2. Strong organizational and communication skills.
3. Experience in packaging, manufacturing, or machinery industries preferred.
4. Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset.
5. Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar inventory tools is an advantage.
6. A forklift license is beneficial but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a well-organized, clearly labelled, and clutter-free store layout.
2. Accurately receive, store, issue, and dispatch stock, ensuring all inventory is recorded and up to date.
3. Carry out monthly stock checks and reconcile physical counts with system records.
4. Issue parts to the shop floor and track usage to specific jobs and staff.
5. Manage purchases by generating POs, liaising with suppliers, and tracking deliveries.
6. Check received goods against purchase orders and log stock into the inventory system.
7. Plan delivery and collection routes for the driver and confirm schedules in advance.
8. Inspect company vehicles before and after use, noting any transported items.
9. Prepare machines for dispatch, engrave serial numbers, and ensure all accessories are included.
10. Cross-check orders against picking slips and dispatch documents to avoid any errors.
11. Keep the warehouse and surrounding factory areas clean, presentable, and compliant with health and safety standards.
12. Log, label, and store imported machinery and parts with precision and update stock records accordingly.
13. Assist workshop teams when needed, including moving equipment or basic assembly work.
