Job summary

Kwena Human Capital represents a global engineering and construction client seeking two Storemen to join a large solar PV and BESS project in Postmasburg, Northern Cape. This is a project-based contract until November 2027.

Receive, inspect and verify materials, ensure proper storage, issue items, maintain stock records and perform cycle counts. SAP/ERP experience, forklift certification, and a valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric required.
• Minimum 2+ years as Storeman / Stores Clerk or similar.
• Experience on large construction, mining, power, renewable energy or EPC projects.
• Experience with inventory control, receiving, issuing and stocktaking.
• SAP or ERP system experience preferred.
• Forklift / material-handling equipment certification preferred.
• Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• OHSA knowledge and workplace safety compliance.
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials, equipment, tools and spares.
• Ensure correct binning, labelling and storage of materials.
• Issue materials and equipment in accordance with project procedures.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels.
• Conduct stock counts, cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Monitor stock movements and report discrepancies, shortages or damaged items.
• Maintain accurate receiving and issuing documentation.
• Assist with the control of tools, PPE, consumables, equipment and spares.
• Maintain good housekeeping and organisation within the stores area.
• Operate material-handling equipment when required.
• Comply with all project HSE requirements and procedures.
• Support the Stores Supervisor with general stores and materials-management activities.
