A global packaging and paper company based in Durban is seeking a candidate to optimize technical stores systems and resources. The role requires tertiary education in Engineering or Supply Chain Management, alongside 3-5 years’ experience in a technical or stores environment. Candidates must have SAP experience. • Take a practical role in optimizing technical stores systems and resources, ensuring plant/process availability according to predetermined parameters.
• Monitor process and system conditions and trends to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Engage in liaison with stakeholders such as suppliers, direct line management, production, engineering, and maintenance.
• Work on equipment repair and manufacturing facilities.
• Receive and inspect materials ordered from suppliers.
• Prepare stores delivery notes for dispatched goods.
• File documents as per inventory processes.
• Conduct stock counts.
• Receipt of stock on SAP.
• Bin stock and pick redundant spares.
• Issue spares and coordinate stock transfers from mill to mill.
• Report incidents and stock outs to the Head of Stores and shift coordinator.
• Offload delivery trucks and operate heavy machinery.
Your profile:
• Tertiary education in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum NQF level 5.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a technical, operations, or stores environment.
• SAP/WMS experience.
