The incumbent handles the flow of stock in the store.
Responsibilities include:
- Purchasing, receiving, and controlling store stock
- Greeting customers in the retail area
- Ordering stock and creating purchase orders
- Ensuring timely receipt of orders, stock, and products
- Following up on back orders and providing feedback to the store manager
- Inspecting packages for damages or defaults
- Receiving and dispatching stock
- Ensuring all products are signed in and out according to proper documentation
- Labeling, binning, and signing out products by checkers
- Picking products from shelves according to the picking slip
- Handling product returns and booking repairs
- Following up on repair progress and providing feedback to management and customers
- Labeling and packing returns and repairs appropriately
- Handling breakages and testing electrical products in-store
- Efficiently packing dispatch bins and labeling products, bins, and shelves correctly
- Loading and locating products and bins in the system accurately
- Managing inventory and investigating stock discrepancies
- Careful packing of parcels and marking fragile items
- Using branded packaging for products
- Completing stock takes and replenishing stock levels
- Maintaining the store's appearance and housekeeping
- Completing daily stock sheets and managing stock effectively
- Updating the success tracker daily
- Learning about other departments to assist customers effectively
- Assisting internal sales and managing the store driver daily
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience or skills
- Experience in electrical industry or retail sales is advantageous
- Senior certificate (NQF4) or equivalent
- SA citizen or valid work permit
