Job Title: Storeman - Electrical & Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Storeman with a strong background in electrical and construction materials handling. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in managing inventory, tools, and equipment related to overhead and underground reticulation and general electrical works. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the store, supporting field teams, and maintaining accurate records of stock movement.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store electrical and construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Manage stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Issue materials to site teams in a timely and organized manner.
• Coordinate deliveries and logistics in line with project schedules.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized store facilities in compliance with OH&S standards.
• Record and update inventory management systems accurately.
• Liaise with procurement and project teams regarding material requirements and availability.
• Identify and report damaged or faulty equipment and arrange for repairs or replacements.
• Maintain documentation for asset tracking, tool allocation, and returns.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of store procedures and controls.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a storeman or similar role within the electrical or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of materials and tools used in overhead & underground reticulation and general electrical projects.
• Proven experience with inventory management systems (manual and digital).
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Forklift license (desirable).
• Valid driver's license.
