Purpose of the Role: To ensure store profitability by focusing on customer service, sales generation, operating expenses, brand standards, and brand image management.
Key Responsibilities:
CUSTOMER SERVICE DELIVERY
- Implement Chanel's customer service strategy, focusing on proactive issue resolution and luxury experience
- Ensure store layout, merchandising, signage, and visual displays meet brand standards
- Manage stock pipeline and display according to brand guidelines
- Implement store promotions, events, and communications timely and correctly
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels for optimal customer service
- Monitor performance metrics and address issues to meet targets
- Drive IPT to a target of 2.5
- Achieve sales targets through brand incentives
MERCHANDISE MANAGEMENT
- Analyze stock reports weekly to assess store performance
- Communicate stock issues to Line Manager
- Ensure stock control and SOP adherence
- Plan stock and tester needs, place orders, and follow up
- Manage supplies and tools, ensuring availability
- Maintain stock versus tester ratio for efficiency
- Report maintenance issues and follow up for resolution
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Assist in recruitment and induction of new staff
- Manage performance, provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring
- Develop IDPs and identify training needs
- Attend training and ensure application on the shop floor
- Foster a motivated and harmonious work environment
- Handle daily team issues and conduct regular meetings
- Review performance quarterly and conduct monthly one-on-ones
BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
- Analyze budgets, set targets, and manage expenses
- Monitor stock loss and security risks
- Ensure OHASA compliance
MARKET INTELLIGENCE
- Conduct competitor and socio-economic scans
- Execute promotional activities per brand guidelines
- Align merchandise and services with customer trends
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Uphold client experience standards
- Build management relationships
- Oversee CRM and customer communication
- Grow customer database and manage complaints
ADMINISTRATION
- Track sales and competitor activities
- Manage store schedules, leave, claims, and reports

Qualifications:
- Matric certificate
- Minimum 3 years retail and cosmetics store management experience
- Store Manager experience essential
- Beauty/Make-Up qualification advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
