Purpose of the Role
To ensure the store's profitability by focusing on customer service, sales generation, managing operating expenses, implementing brand and company standards, establishing effective people and process management practices, and building the brand image and awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- CUSTOMER SERVICE DELIVERY
- Implement Chanel customer service strategies with a focus on proactive issue resolution and a luxury experience.
- Ensure store layout, merchandising, signage, and visual displays meet brand standards.
- Manage stock pipeline and display in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Coordinate store promotions, events, and brand communications.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and monitor performance metrics like IPT and sales incentives.
MERCHANDISE MANAGEMENT- Analyze stock reports weekly and communicate issues to the Line Manager.
- Ensure stock control and SOP adherence.
- Plan stock needs and ensure timely orders.
- Maintain stock versus tester ratio and resolve maintenance issues.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT- Assist recruitment and induct new staff.
- Manage performance and development of team members.
- Address daily team issues and conduct regular meetings and performance reviews.
BUSINESS PERFORMANCE- Analyze budgets and set sales and expense targets.
- Manage expenses and stock loss within norms.
MARKET INTELLIGENCE- Conduct environmental scans and adjust business plans accordingly.
- Ensure promotional activities align with brand standards and customer trends.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT- Uphold client experience standards and build management relationships.
- Oversee CRM and customer retention strategies.
ADMINISTRATION- Maintain sales tracking, competitor analysis, and store schedules.
- Manage leave, overtime claims, and store checklists.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Matric certificate.
- Minimum 3 years retail and cosmetics store management experience.
- Store Manager experience required.
- Beauty/Make-Up certification advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience in storekeeping and procurement.
