Job description

We are excited to invite you to join the Mr Price Group Store Manager Talent Pool for our Mr Price Cellular Stores!

By joining this talent pool, you will be among the first to be considered for upcoming Store Manager positions for Mr Price Cellular in Eastern Cape.

The Store Manager will lead and manage the daily operations of a Mr Price Money Cellular store to ensure that overall objectives, store targets, innovation initiatives, and customer service standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Stock Management:
  2. Ensure accurate receipt, unpacking, merchandising, and replenishment of stock.
  3. Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes, including stock counts, stock takes, and stock loss mitigation.
  4. Maintain the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
  5. Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and handle cellular repairs and returns.
  1. Sales Growth & Profitability:
  2. Analyze sales and profitability reports to develop operational action plans, increase sales performance, and monitor expenditure.
  3. Review product performance and provide feedback to support centre to enhance sales.
  4. Identify opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness, including in-store marketing and competitor shopping.
  5. Drive performance in credit, insurance, mobile, and cellular sales to meet budgets.
  6. Conduct compliance checks and audits to ensure adherence to policies and safety standards.
  1. Customer Experience Management:
  2. Implement customer experience processes, including visual standards, feedback, and housekeeping.
  1. Leadership & Development:
  2. Lead and motivate the team to achieve KPIs and operational goals.
  3. Identify and facilitate training, coaching, and talent development.
  4. Manage recruitment and performance in line with company policies.
  5. Implement innovation initiatives from Head Office to improve customer experience and store processes.
Minimum Requirements:
  • NQF level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience in a store management position
  • Understanding of retail trade, brand management, customer service, cellular, mobile, new accounts, and insurance products
