A leading company in retail groceries is seeking a Store Manager for their Johannesburg outlet. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8+ years of experience in a similar managerial role within a large food retail environment. Responsibilities include stock management, HR duties, budgeting, and ensuring store performance. An attractive salary package in the range of R50,000 to R60,000 is offered, aligned with experience and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of experience as a Store Manager in a large Food and Groceries Wholesale/Retail store.
• Experience within the Food and Groceries Retail/Wholesale Industry.
• A valid driver’s license.

Job description

1) Does your grocery store experience include:

• Stock take, ordering of stock, and stock management.
• Daily cashups.
• GRVs.
• Buying and merchandising for the store.
• Store marketing and advertising.
• Target setting, budgeting, store performance, and store management.
• Expense controls and shrinkage controls.
• Daily sales budgeting and reports.
• Loss control and risk management.
• Health, safety, and hygiene.
• HR management and recruitment for the store.
• Store finance administration.

2) Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• 5 to 8+ years of experience as a Store Manager in a large Food and Groceries Wholesale/Retail store.
• Experience within the Food and Groceries Retail/Wholesale Industry, with companies such as Cash and Carry, Spar, Boxer Superstores, Makro, etc.
• A proven successful employment record with notable achievements.
• A valid driver’s license.

3) Salary Range: R50,000 to R60,000 total cost to the company per month (salary depends on the candidate's current job level, industry experience, etc.).
