Job description

Lindt & Sprüngli (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd (Lindt SA) started operations in May 2011 and forms part of the Lindt & Sprüngli group of companies. With more than 150 employees, Lindt SA is based in Cape Town with a strong regional presence in Johannesburg, Durban, and Port Elizabeth, and a network of 16 Lindt retail stores.

As a global leader in the premium chocolate sector, Lindt & Sprüngli has a long-standing tradition of almost 175 years originating in Zurich, Switzerland. Today, Lindt & Sprüngli products are made at 12 owned production sites in Europe and the USA. The products are distributed through 28 subsidiary companies and branch offices, around 500 Lindt shops and cafés, and over 100 independent distributors worldwide.

Position Purpose

To uphold the integrity and promote the image of Lindt by managing the daily operations of the Lindt Retail Boutique. To work closely with staff, the Retail Manager, personnel, and corporate contacts to ensure the growth and development of the Lindt Brand.

Store Operations :

  • Manage daily operations of the Lindt retail Boutique
  • Uphold exemplary customer service standards by modeling behavior and establishing guidelines
  • Monitor daily sales to maximize store profitability without compromising customer service
  • Order merchandise and supplies timely, focusing on inventory management and loss prevention
  • Reconcile cash, sales receipts, and handle store administration daily
  • Develop and grow the Corporate Sales business and strategy
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and focus on achieving sales goals while controlling expenses
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and food/product safety
  • Open and close the Boutique according to shift plans
  • Prepare monthly reports as required by Head Office

Marketing :

  • Identify local marketing opportunities and support corporate marketing initiatives
  • Implement local marketing initiatives as directed by the Marketing department
  • Ensure compliance with price changes and merchandising initiatives
  • Maintain store merchandising presentation to company standards
