Job Title: Store Manager
Objective:
To ensure the efficient operation of the store and service excellence by leading and directing the store operations team to meet sales, profit, and compliance targets, thereby creating a competitive advantage for the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Performance: Achieve store financial goals by driving sales, monitoring daily targets, and implementing proactive measures.
- Operational Management: Manage all store activities including expenses, stock control, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration efficiently.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure in-store presentation and promotional standards are maintained, aligning with brand image.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and motivate employees to build capacity and meet current and future business needs.
- Staff Scheduling: Plan staff rosters in accordance with group policies and labor models to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Administrative Duties: Complete weekly time and attendance records and employee documentation accurately and timely.
- Customer Service: Implement initiatives to enhance customer experience, loyalty, and club card participation.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with center managers, suppliers, and distribution centers to maximize opportunities.
- Market Awareness: Monitor customer trends, demographics, and competitors to leverage market opportunities.
- Team Integration: Foster cohesion between store, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- Business Culture: Promote a high-performance culture that values employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in store management within retail/FMCG environment with at least R50 million annual turnover
- Extensive people management experience
- Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, ratios)
Education:
- Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50%, English 50%)
- Preferred: Degree or Diploma in retail/finance management, pharmacy, or related fields (for external applicants)
