REQUIREMENTS :
  • Matric
  • 5 years of sales experience, especially in homeware retail products
  • 2 years in an Assistant Manager / Manager role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to maintain consistent punctual and reliable attendance
  • High energy levels and strong focus
DUTIES :
  • Maximize sales and control expenses
  • Stock control and weekly stock takes
  • Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
  • Follow up on work results
  • Maintain store staff through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results
  • Prepare annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions
  • Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with customers and understanding service needs
  • Ensure merchandise and services availability by approving contracts and maintaining inventories
  • Secure merchandise by monitoring security systems and measures
  • Provide a safe and clean store environment to protect employees and customers
  • Ensure legal compliance to maintain store reputation
  • Set up marketing displays for sales floor and windows
  • Manage controllable costs to keep operations profitable
  • Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales
  • Interpret market trends to facilitate planning
  • Respond to customer complaints and comments
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor
HOURS :
  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:30 or 08:30 - 17:00
  • Shift work
