Description

The primary role of this position is to supervise and control the activities and operation of an Optical Outlets office.

Essential Functions
  1. Train new hires for various positions within Optical Outlets offices
  2. Supervise and control operation of the office to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  3. Maintain all product, equipment, and supplies in the office
  4. Inform the District Manager of trends, needs, or problems
  5. Maintain office operations within controllable expense budgets
  6. Ensure proper promotional, merchandise, and display policies are followed
  7. Maintain positive patient/customer and public relations, including follow-up on complaints
  8. Establish professional relations with all doctors
  9. Provide coaching in new product introduction, technical, and selling techniques
  10. Supervise and follow up on all billing, including insurance and other payments
  11. Reconcile all financial reports
  12. Supervise and coordinate all doctor appointment scheduling
  13. Notify the District Manager of staffing, training, or wage issues
  14. Request approval for wage increases for subordinates
  15. Inform the District Manager of quality or patient flow problems
  16. Coordinate security-related matters
  17. Inform the District Manager of operational or procedural changes needed
  18. Perform tasks assigned by the District Manager
Requirements

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a business-related environment
  • Optical experience preferred
  • Proven leadership and strategic understanding of optometric business processes
  • Ability to recruit, train, coach, and develop staff
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changes
Working Conditions

The work environment is generally favorable, with adequate lighting and temperature, and no hazardous conditions.
