Job description

The Store Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the retail branch, including customer service, cash-ups, stock control, and store maintenance.

The role requires a proactive individual who can manage daily operations, assist walk-in clients, and support the store team to ensure smooth business flow.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist and serve walk-in customers professionally and courteously
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment
  • Complete accurate daily sales calculations and cash-ups
  • Assist with attendance tracking and team coordination when required
  • Keep all store paperwork and stock records current
  • Monitor stock levels and place timely orders to avoid shortages
  • Open and close the store as scheduled
  • Upsell and promote products through solid product knowledge
  • Communicate store issues or updates clearly with head office
  • Resolve customer concerns calmly and efficiently
  • Foster a cooperative and positive team environment
  • Support efforts to meet and exceed store sales targets

Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years of retail or general work experience
  • Prior experience with POS systems and basic admin

Remuneration :

R6,000 R8,000 per month, based on experience

Working hours :

Monday Friday 08 : 30 am to 16 : 00 pm

Saturday 08 : 30 am to 15 : 00 pm
