The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Storage, SAN, and Compute hardware by providing OEM best practices through designing, implementing, and deploying shared system resources, such as disks and networking.

Responsibilities include performance analysis and troubleshooting, data recovery strategies for critical systems, and data backup measures.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, contribute, and report on compliance with documented protocols to ensure contractual objectives are achieved.
• Maintain short-term and long-term capacity and availability goals to deliver on day-to-day services.
• Develop and participate in policies, procedures, and organizational capabilities to establish sufficient capacity for continuity and disaster recovery.
• Participate in incidents that lead to disastrous events.
• Participate in annual disaster recovery testing as required and specified in the contract.
• Contribute to GORT IT DR plans, policies, and strategies.
• Storage provisioning, zoning, firmware maintenance (SAN, Storage, Blade Chassis, Physical servers), and hardware repairs.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree/diploma in IT or currently pursuing one.
• Experience and certifications with various hardware vendors.
• ITIL certification.
• A+ and N+ certifications.
• Experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining IT enterprise disaster recovery.
• Managing HPE 3PAR StoreServ I & II, HPE MSA, Brocade SAN Enterprise, and HPE Blade Chassis.
• Managing physical servers and SAN fabrics.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an enterprise IT environment.
