Job description

A vacancy exists at Nashua (Pty) Ltd for a Stock Planner based in Woodmead, reporting to the Supply Chain & Annuity Manager.

PURPOSE:

To manage demand and inventory by ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement and optimal stock levels across local and international suppliers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

STOCK SEGMENT RESPONSIBILITY AND KPI’S

  • Forecasting and demand planning to improve stock levels for the respective segments.
  • Adhering to the specified KPI’s.
  • Stock management to avoid aged stock and reduce write-offs.
  • Reviewing sell-out vs forecast regularly to manage forecast accuracy and stock levels.
  • Reviewing forecast exceptions to maintain accuracy and demand management.

PURCHASING

  • Processing international and local orders through ATHENA.
  • Managing purchase orders according to DOA.
  • Creating orders for multiple purposes such as demonstration and internal use.
  • Conducting weekly stock reviews prior to order payment.

LIAISE WITH SUPPLIERS AND INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS

  • Communicating with suppliers regarding order status.
  • Inquiring about stock availability.
  • Updating internal stakeholders on stock shipping issues and product phase in/out.
  • Informing stakeholders about stock arrivals and delays.

SALES OPERATIONS/E5 AND DIRECT TO FRANCHISE FORECASTS AND DISTRIBUTION

  • Generating monthly S&OP/E5 reports for stakeholder meetings.
  • Receiving updated projections from Sales before S&OP meetings.
  • Creating Direct to Franchise forecast reports.
  • Participating in forecast review meetings with suppliers as needed.

FORECASTING

  • Daily & weekly reports on back orders, ETA’s, stock on hand, and open orders.
  • Reporting on S&OP/E5 to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining Ricoh Demand Sheet and forecast report.
  • Monthly depreciation charges and bi-annual write-offs.
  • Monitoring stock aging and excess stock reports.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

  • Using Nashua Enterprise portal for stock returns, adjustments, ETA’s, and queries.
  • Maintaining own equipment and reporting faults.
  • Cover for team members on leave.
  • Answering calls and attending meetings as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Matric qualification.
  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, or Business Management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning.
  • Professional registration, driver’s license, or trade test is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (advanced), and Windows.

OTHER ASSIGNMENTS:

Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Supply Chain & Annuity Manager or the Executive Team.
