We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to manage packaging and consumable stock movement. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate stock levels, supporting production planning, and resolving stock variances. This position requires strong analytical skills, experience with inventory management systems, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Report daily packaging stock counts to support production planning and procurement functions.
Balance daily requisitions and issues to ensure accurate reconciliation of packaging items against production output.
Capture all packaging and consumable movements (requisitions/issues) daily on SAGE.
Perform daily reconciliation of finished goods and packaging (Excel & SAGE), investigate variances, and follow up on outstanding GRVs.
Conduct regular spot checks and cycle counts in the packaging warehouse to validate system accuracy.
Ensure system stock availability for IBTs and customer order invoicing; assist Receiving with stock-related queries.
Support month-end stock counts, perform variance analysis, and prepare stock loss/gain reports.
Process inter-branch transfers (IBTs), ensuring accurate stock movement across all packaging locations.
Perform ongoing packaging spot checks and validate against SAGE entries throughout the month.
Submit returns schedules to the Receiving Supervisor and Stock Accountant in a timely manner.
Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
2–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Solid experience in stock control
Proficient in SAGE Pastel
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
