Job description

REPORTING TO : Warehouse Controller

LOCATION : Johannesburg Meadowdale Warehouse

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Stock Controller is responsible for ensuring that Kanban stock levels meet the company's needs, monitoring shipments to customers/subcontractors, and managing internal transfers between departments within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Conduct weekly Kanban counts and daily stock audits.
  2. Manage cycle counts and investigate variances.
  3. Receive stock, scan supplier invoices, and store items according to established standards.
  4. Authorize all order dispatches following standard procedures and manage the POD folder.
  5. Manage project stock.
  6. Track shipments, coordinate collections, and address delays.
  7. Update daily management boards.
  8. Perform other ad hoc tasks as required.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education / Achievements

  • Matric qualification with at least a partial qualification in warehousing or supply chain management.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse environment.
  • High level of accuracy.
  • Experience with SAP Business One.
  • Supply chain or warehouse qualification preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative skills and interpersonal abilities.

  • Attention to detail, proficiency in Excel and advanced Microsoft Word skills, dedication to meeting deadlines.
