Experienced Stock Controller required for managing both Packaging and Consumables stock movement on site. The incumbent will be working with an extended team resolving stock variances, accurately processing warehouse transfers and counting stock. Sage Pastel and Intermediate Excel competency will be highly advantageous.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Minimum 2-3 years' manufacturing experience with 2-3 years' stock controlling experience
- Stock controlling experience is essential
- Ability to work in a team independently
- Attention to detail in resolving variances and being assertive when required
- Good knowledge of Sage Pastel and Intermediate Excel skills required
Responsibilities:
- Daily stock count report: provide accurate Packaging Stock counts to Production Planning and Site Procurement
- Daily balancing of Issues and Requisitions - ensuring that every item in Packaging and Consumables balances with the quantity of packed goods produced in the Packing Plant
- Daily Capturing on Sage - recording of Packaging and Consumables requisitioned and issued on Sage for the site
- Daily reconciliation on Excel and from Sage valuation
- Reconciling daily physical counts with what has been issued to production and returned to stores
- Check daily variances with extra or short stock with Packing Plant and the Receiving Supervisor
- Also check for outstanding GRVs not captured by the Receiving Clerk
- Spot cycle counting checks in Packaging Warehouse. Random physical counts to be completed and verified against Sage. This is to ensure all quantities submitted daily are correct avoiding or mitigating the risk of theft and ensuring accuracy of month end count
- Checking for sufficient stock on the system for IBTs (Inter Branch Transfers) and Customer Order Invoicing
- Assist Receiving Department on queries for insufficient stock on Sage
- Month end count and Variance Analysis and Stock loss & gain report - reconciling month end count and daily quantities, analysis of any adjustments passed in warehouses
- Issuing and receiving of IBTS - to ensure stock is being sent out and received on Sage. This is to ensure that the three Packaging locations balance Sage stock to floor stock
- Spot check and counts for Packaging during the month
- Submit the Returns Excel schedule to both Receiving Supervisor and Stock Accountant per incident
