Job summary

RecruitMyMom is seeking a detail‑oriented Inventory Controller for the Rooihuiskraal, Centurion facility. The role focuses on maintaining inventory integrity, optimising warehouse layout, and ensuring accurate stock management across procurement and warehouse execution.

You will perform end‑to‑end inventory workflows, conduct audits, reconcile stock with purchase orders, manage replenishments, and investigate variances.

• Excellent communication across suppliers, warehouse teams and internal departments.
• Fluent in Afrikaans; willing to work on-site in Rooihuiskraal, Centurion.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain stock levels to meet business requirements and track goods.
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts and stocktakes to reduce discrepancies.
• Compare received goods against purchase orders and coordinate replenishment.
• Update inventory systems and generate reports on levels, usage and variances.
• Organise stock layout and storage conditions for optimal space utilisation.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and variances and support improvements.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure stock availability.

Positioned within an established operational setup in Rooihuiskraal, Centurion, this full-time role focuses on maintaining inventory integrity, optimising warehouse layout, and driving accurate stock management. Operating directly from the local facility, the position serves as an essential link between procurement, warehouse execution, and internal operational teams. The impact of the role relies on managing end-to-end inventory workflows, conducting systematic audits, and ensuring optimal stock availability. By reconciling received stock against purchase orders, managing stock replenishment, and investigating inventory variances, the successful incumbent minimizes loss and maintains precise stock tracking records. Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management & Tracking: Monitor and maintain stock levels to fulfill business requirements, encompassing receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking goods accurately.
• Stock Audits & Inspections: Execute regular stock audits, cyclic checks, and planned stocktakes to minimise inventory discrepancies, shrinkage, and losses.
• Order Processing & Replenishment: Compare received goods against purchase orders, process new stock entries, and coordinate timely stock replenishment schedules.
• Data Control & Reporting: Update inventory management systems, maintain stock records, and generate comprehensive reports regarding inventory levels, usage, and variances.
• Warehouse & Layout Coordination: Organise stock layout for optimal space utilisation, ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage or spoilage, and collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient daily operations.
• Variance Investigation: Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, record inaccuracies, or physical losses, supporting continuous process improvements.
• Supplier & Internal Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain regular communication with suppliers and internal teams to facilitate procurement and maintain stock availability.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Proven history of success in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse administration.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively across suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal departments.
• Availability to work full-time on-site in Rooihuiskraal, Centurion.
• Written and spoken fluency in Afrikaans.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous forklift operational experience.
• Physical fitness to support active warehouse inventory monitoring and audits.

Required Software Skills

• Microsoft Excel (Advanced Level required)
