Stock Controller

Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Stock Controller in the Dry Goods Stores department.

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the position is to provide support in the Dry Goods Stores by supplying and controlling stock according to the relevant policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

1. Matric / Grade 12 certificate (Maths)
2. Minimum of 3 years Stock Control experience
3. Availability to work overtime
4. Comfortable working at heights
5. Comfortable / or ability to work in a factory environment (e.g., dust, cold)

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Control of Stock
2. Investigate reasons for variance in stocks
3. Coordinate inventory counts
4. Report on stock holding and variances in a timely manner
5. Implement FIFO (First In First Out) properly
6. Supervise the maintenance of warehouses / storerooms and ensure proper stock arrangement
7. Manage stock operations in line with policies and procedures
8. Oversee stock reservation and presentation standards
9. Maintain accurate inventory records according to standards
10. Ensure stock levels comply with inventory parameters
11. Develop inventory control models to reduce lead times and stock levels
12. Collaborate with production to ensure stock accuracy
13. Utilize specialized programs for record keeping and performance monitoring
14. Assess supply chain risks and develop solutions to minimize losses
