Job Title: Stock Controller

Location : Parow

Working Hours : Monday to Thursday : 07h30 to 17h00 and Friday: 07h30 to 14h00

About Company :

Manufacturing and distributing wood fillers, adhesives and related products in South Africa since 1962. All manufacturing is done from its premises in Parow Industria, Western Cape. Product is distributed nationally and exported to various African countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast Supply and Demand: Predict future stock needs to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock situations.
  • Inventory Management: Track and oversee incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Order Placement: Place orders to replenish stock as needed, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Supplier Coordination: Evaluate suppliers' offers, negotiate deals, and maintain good relationships with vendors.
  • Inventory Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and address any discrepancies.
  • Storage Management: Ensure proper storage conditions for all products, particularly fragile items.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement strategies to prevent theft and damage.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze stock reports, and maintain records of purchases and pricing.
Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, or similar role.
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., Syspro).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in storekeeping and stock taking
