A vacancy exists for a Stock Controller based at Life Kingsbury Hospital. The successful candidate will report to Nabeel Dudhia, Pharmacy Manager, and will be responsible for ensuring quality pharmaceutical services, meeting financial objectives, legislative compliance, and managing people effectively.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal customers to ensure cooperation and compliance with audit processes.
- Setting up and maintaining preferred stock levels and daily stock ordering to ensure quality pharmaceutical supply.
- Managing assets to ensure stock security and minimize losses.
- Conducting quarterly stocktakes and cycle counts.
- Managing non-recoverable utilization, dead stock, and short-dated stock.
- Assisting with operational efficiencies and managing reports like MIR6 and GRIR.
- Monitoring expiry dates and managing stock as per protocol.
- Ensuring stock availability and cost-efficiency in staff planning.
- Implementing formulary products and managing the surgical stores department.
- Overseeing procurement, control, and distribution of surgical stock, including accurate receiving and invoicing.
- Maintaining the LHC formulary and handling product complaints.
- Resolving stakeholder queries and fostering a culture of quality and operational excellence.
- Performing any other tasks deemed necessary by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- At least 2 years of stock control experience in a hospital environment.
- Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry; hospital experience and knowledge of systems (iMeds) are required.
- Result-oriented with attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Ability to work under stress.
- Experience in inventory management or pharmaceutical environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and procedures.
